In 'Investigator No' Lee In-gyu's Memoir... Jeon Hae-cheol Calls It "Shameless Behavior"

Former Lawyer Roh Criticizes Lee In-gyu's Memoir
"Defamation of Roh Moo-hyun and Moon Jae-in, Malicious Intent"

Former Chief of Investigation at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, Lee In-gyu, who was responsible for the investigation of the late former President Roh Moo-hyun, stated in his memoir that the bribery charges against former President Roh were "undisputed facts." In response, Jeon Hae-cheol, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, declared, "We cannot tolerate the shameless false claims and disgraceful behavior of former prosecutor Lee In-gyu."

Jeon, who was former President Roh's lawyer at the time, wrote on social media on the 17th, "Prosecutor Lee In-gyu consistently displayed an arrogant and haughty attitude," adding, "The prosecution blatantly demonstrated political prosecution behavior through routine public disclosure of suspect facts and witch-hunt style humiliation using the media."

Jeon questioned, "After the Moon Jae-in administration began, former prosecutor Lee In-gyu, who fled abroad, has returned to Korea and is once again insulting President Roh and disparaging former President Moon. What are the impure intentions and background behind this?"

He continued, "The claims made by former prosecutor Lee In-gyu in his memoir are not so much statements of fact as distorted and disparaging portrayals of the two presidents from his own perspective and viewpoint, which goes beyond an acceptable level," adding, "As a result, the president endured much pain and hardship."

Meanwhile, the publication of Lee's book (I Was a Prosecutor of the Republic of Korea - Who Killed Roh Moo-hyun?) has caused a stir in political circles. The book is reported to contain content suggesting that the bribery charges against former President Roh were true.
