Hampyeong-gun Hosts Korea Orchid Premium Grand Festival

The Korea Orchid Masterpiece Exhibition will be held in Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, the largest natural habitat of Korean orchids.

Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 17th that the "2023 Korea Orchid Masterpiece Exhibition" will be held for two days on the 25th and 26th at the Hampyeong Culture and Sports Center.

The Korea Orchid Masterpiece Exhibition is held every March in Hampyeong to widely promote the excellence of Korean orchids.

Under the theme "Meeting the Future of Korean Orchids in Hampyeong," this year's exhibition will display about 450 Korean orchids, including floral art pieces and leaf art pieces.

Anyone can freely submit entries, and applications can be made at the Hampyeong Culture and Sports Center between 1 PM and 6 PM on the 24th.

Among the submitted works, after judging, the grand prize winner will receive the Presidential Award and a prize of 10 million won, and about 150 works will be selected and awarded including the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, the Minister of Environment Award, and the Administrator of the Korea Forest Service Award.

Chairman Lee Sang-ik said, "I hope this exhibition will once again revitalize the orchid industry, which has been subdued due to COVID-19," and added, "We ask for your great interest and participation."
