This year, a budget of 19.7 billion KRW for the Daegu area and 19.1 billion KRW for the Gyeongbuk area has been secured.

The Daegu Regional Environmental Office, based on odor prevention regulations and other laws, supports local governments in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment to provide financial assistance when small-scale businesses install prevention facilities, and also supports the installation of Internet of Things (IoT) measuring devices.

Through the installation of IoT measuring devices, measurement data from the devices are transmitted to the Korea Environment Corporation system to manage the operational status of the prevention facilities.

Businesses in need of support can contact the Daegu·Gyeongbuk Green Environment Support Center, and detailed information can be found in the project announcements on the city and county websites.

Choi Jong-won, head of the Daegu Regional Environmental Office, stated, “Through the Small-scale Prevention Facility Installation Support Project, we will assist businesses in improving their prevention facilities to reduce fine dust and contribute to regional environmental improvement,” and added, “We request active participation from businesses.”
