Domestic virtual asset exchange Bithumb will extend its real-name verification deposit and withdrawal service partnership contract with NH Nonghyup for one more year.
Bithumb announced on the 17th that the renewal contract for issuing real-name accounts with NH Nonghyup is in its final stages, and the official contract will be signed before the expiration date on the 24th. Bithumb customers will be able to continue using the service through the accounts they have been using.
Bithumb and NH Nonghyup have worked together for the past five years to strengthen anti-money laundering systems and provide stable services. Based on mutual cooperation and trust between the two companies, it is expected that a safer and more convenient trading environment can be created.
At the end of last year, Bithumb significantly improved the user interface (UI) of the Bithumb application to enhance usability, and earlier this year, it advanced its Fraud Detection System (FDS) to prevent voice phishing, hacking, and other threats in advance, as well as to block market disruption activities through abnormal transactions.
Additionally, through the customer support center website, Bithumb provides content such as educational materials for investor protection, trading precautions, and types of fraud. It plans to introduce more diverse content this year, including "visiting education" programs that educate on preventing financial fraud damage and basics of virtual assets.
A Bithumb representative said, "We will finalize the renewal contract for real-name accounts with Nonghyup next week and will continue to do our best to create an environment where customers can trade safely and conveniently."
