Expecting the Spread of Celebrity Atmosphere Connected with Goheung
Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that singers Jo Hang-jo and Jin Sung have donated hometown love contributions to Gohung-gun.
According to the county, they participated in the hometown love donation with a heart supporting the development of Gohung while visiting Gohung to perform at the 'Gohung Ollae Concert' held at Park Ji-sung Public Stadium on the 15th.
Gong Young-min, Governor of Gohung-gun, said, "I sincerely thank the two for showing interest in Gohung and practicing love," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that the precious donation is used for fund projects essential for regional development."
A county official said, "We expect a ripple effect in promoting and spreading the atmosphere of our county's hometown love donation system as the two, who are active as promotional ambassadors of Gohung-gun, participate in the hometown love donation."
Meanwhile, in January, singer Na Kwang-jin, who sings about the Seomjin River, also donated hometown love contributions at the Gohung-gun promotional ambassador appointment ceremony.
The hometown love donation system is a program implemented to create a healthy donation culture for hometowns, reduce financial disparities between regions, and promote regional economic revitalization. Individuals who donate to local governments other than their registered address can receive tax deductions and return gifts.
Gohung-gun provides about 380 clean agricultural, fishery, and livestock products such as Gohung Hanwoo beef, yuzu, pomegranate, and rice, as well as Gohung love gift certificates and Buncheong pottery as return gifts. Additionally, temple stay programs at Neungnasa Temple and mowing services will be introduced, and a 'Gohung Love Hall' will be established to honor high-value donors.
