- 'KOOFA Initiative' Approaching 200th Cohort... Approximately 4,000 Students Enrolled So Far
- 'Initiative 200th Cohort Festival' Held May 24-26
KOOFA Facilitation Group Co., Ltd. (CEO Ki-wook Koo), a professional organization development consulting company with a 10-year history, announced on the 17th that its corporate facilitation training program, ‘KOOFA Initiative,’ is about to surpass its 200th session.
Founded in 2012, KOOFA Facilitation Group is the largest facilitation specialist company in Korea, having executed over 2,500 consulting projects and built professional expertise. Since January 2013, it has independently developed and operated the comprehensive 3-day facilitator training course ‘Initiative’ at least once a month for 10 years.
‘Initiative,’ recognized as the world’s first comprehensive facilitation training program certified by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), has produced over 4,000 facilitation talents through more than 20 sessions annually.
Previously, in 2018, KOOFA Facilitation Group celebrated the achievement of the 100th ‘Initiative’ session with a festival attended by 100 participants. To commemorate the 200th session, the group plans to hold the ‘Initiative 200th Session Festival’ with 200 participants from May 24 to 26 at the Olympia Hall on the first floor of Seoul Olympic Parktel.
During the evening sessions on the first and second days of the 200th session festival, KOOFA Facilitation Group will offer special facilitation experience sessions with professional facilitators actively working overseas, as well as various benefits including free distribution and discounts on the ‘200th Session Toolkit,’ which organizes 200 facilitation tools.
A representative of KOOFA Facilitation Group stated, “Over the past 10 years, KOOFA Facilitation Group has focused on spreading proper facilitation by combining facilitation as a management technique with the humanities, redefining it from a new perspective, and developing and operating various programs. It is very rare that a self-developed training program has continued up to 200 sessions. We believe this was possible due to a systematic curriculum, professionalism, and long-term trust built with graduates.”
The representative added, “Most new students are introduced through recommendations from existing graduates. We ask for the interest and participation of those who want to learn facilitation to create organic and healthy communication and harmony within organizations and groups.”
Meanwhile, KOOFA Facilitation Group, which holds the most certified training programs from the Korea Facilitators Association (KFA), has continuously expanded its influence in the related industry, including winning the Gold Award in the facilitation performance category hosted by the International Association of Facilitators in 2015 and hosting Korea’s first large-scale organization development conference with over 300 participants in 2018.
