Regular General Meeting of Shareholders for the 56th Term on the 16th
Appointment of Hyun Geon-ho as New Inside Director
Namgung Hong, President of Samsung Engineering, stated on the 16th, "We will complete the innovation we have continuously pursued based on competitiveness and transform into a global company of a different dimension."
President Namgung made these remarks at the 56th regular shareholders' meeting held at the Global Engineering Center (GEC) in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
President Namgung explained, "Last year, despite the difficult external environment, we achieved stable growth results," adding, "We are continuously preparing for the future through new market development, expanding FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), digital innovation, and securing technology."
He continued, "Based on technological capabilities such as future technology investment and talent development, we will build a company that solves social challenges like energy transition and the climate crisis," and added, "We will expand eco-friendly businesses such as hydrogen, carbon neutrality, and water treatment to establish a foundation for sustainable growth."
He also promised, "We will do our best in safety management, the first principle of management, and continue to communicate with the market," and said, "We will reinterpret the past, strengthen the present, and make this year one of preparing for the future."
Meanwhile, all agenda items submitted at the shareholders' meeting, including the appointment of directors and approval of financial statements, were approved as originally proposed.
Samsung Engineering resolved to appoint Hyun Geon-ho, Head of the Plant Business Division (Vice President), as an inside director, and Kim Yong-dae, Chief Lawyer of the law firm Doul, as an outside director.
