The drone industry, as a convergence of advanced technologies, can be utilized in various fields such as leisure, logistics, transportation, and smart farms, and is rapidly emerging as a future growth industry in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The county expects that the newly selected "Yeonggwang-type K-Drone Job Creation Project" will greatly help solve the problems of aging rural populations and labor shortages.
During this project, 20 individuals from vulnerable employment groups such as the unemployed, career-interrupted women, and prospective entrepreneurs will be selected. The program includes practical drone field training and various programs to connect participants with jobs, aiming to nurture drone specialists who will obtain national certifications and link to employment and entrepreneurship.
A county official stated, "As the drone industry is emerging as a core industry of the 4th Industrial Revolution, we will do our best to contribute to creating good jobs by advancing as a drone hub city through this training."
