Air Busan will operate irregular flights on the Busan-Japan Miyazaki route starting from the 23rd.
This irregular flight is Air Busan's first operation from Busan to Miyazaki, with 5 round trips scheduled from the 23rd to April 4th.
The flight departs from Gimhae International Airport at 8:30 AM and arrives at Miyazaki Airport at 9:40 AM. The return flight departs from the local airport at 11:15 AM and arrives at Gimhae International Airport at 12:25 PM.
The flight time is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes, and an A321-200 aircraft with 220 seats will be deployed.
Miyazaki, located in the southern part of Japan's Kyushu region, is a resort city with a mild climate averaging over 17 degrees Celsius annually. Facing the Pacific Ocean, it offers outstanding natural scenery and is also famous as a golf travel destination for golf enthusiasts.
On Aoshima Island, a representative tourist spot of Miyazaki Prefecture, visitors can see the ‘Shinto Shrine’ said to bring connections and the wave-shaped rock formation called ‘Oni’s Washboard.’ Also, ‘Obi Castle Town’ is known as a small Kyoto in Miyazaki and is a popular destination for many tourists.
An Air Busan official said, “Even before COVID-19, we actively operated irregular flights to Japanese cities without direct flights such as Kumamoto, Oita, and Toyama. Starting with the Miyazaki irregular flights, we will actively operate irregular flights to popular tourist destinations with high travel demand this year to enhance travel convenience for local residents.”
Air Busan resumed operations on Japanese routes last October after Japan allowed visa-free entry and individual free travel. Air Busan operates a total of seven Japanese routes (Busan-Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sapporo; Incheon-Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo) and is actively resuming and increasing flights to meet the rapidly growing demand for travel to Japan.
