Watch 'TVING' on LGU+ OTT TV... Lineup Revamp

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] LG Uplus announced on the 16th that it will reorganize the ‘OTT TV’ lineup on its Internet TV (IPTV) service U+tv to allow viewing of the online video service (OTT) ‘Tving,’ and will launch dedicated plans and additional services.


Tving is the largest domestic OTT service with 4.74 million monthly active users (MAU) (based on Mobile Index February 2023). Through Tving, users can watch various popular content such as original content, the latest broadcast VODs, domestic and international movies, and animations.

Last July, LG Uplus launched the ‘Tving Pack,’ which allows customers subscribed to 5G·LTE plans costing 95,000 KRW or more per month to use Tving Standard (10,900 KRW per month, 2 simultaneous streams, up to 1080p FHD quality). Additionally, LG Uplus exclusively supplied , produced and invested by its content production team ‘Studio X+U,’ as Tving original content.


Since launching OTT TV in November last year, which provides a convenient viewing experience and personalized content recommendation features, LG Uplus has been striving to diversify content. On OTT TV, users can watch popular OTTs such as Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, as well as LG Uplus’s own content like Idle Nara and Home Trainow.


With this OTT TV lineup reorganization, Tving original content such as , , and can be conveniently viewed on large TV screens. In addition, dramas and entertainment programs from tvN, Mnet, JTBC, and the latest movies from Paramount+ are also available.


Along with this, LG Uplus will launch on the 23rd premium Tving plans for U+tv at reasonable prices: Premium Tving (3-year contract, combined with internet, 27,000 KRW per month, 1080p quality, 2 simultaneous Tving streams) and Premium Tving Plus (3-year contract, combined with internet, 30,000 KRW per month, up to 4K quality, 4 simultaneous Tving streams).


Additionally, on the 15th, two additional services for existing U+tv plans were launched: Standard (10,900 KRW per month, 1080p quality, 2 simultaneous Tving streams) and Premium (13,900 KRW per month, up to 4K quality, 4 simultaneous Tving streams). Using Tving plans or additional services allows simultaneous viewing of Tving not only on TV but also on smartphones and tablets outside the home.


The newly launched additional services can be easily subscribed to or canceled from the ‘My Menu’ in the U+tv settings screen. Customers already subscribed to Tving can link their existing ID for use.
