The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting a school meal monitoring team.
On the 16th, Suwon City announced that it will select participants for school meal monitoring from parents of kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools within the city by the 31st of this month.
The school meal monitoring team will monitor the entire process of production, processing, distribution, and consumption of school meal ingredients, targeting production farms, food manufacturing and processing businesses, logistics and delivery companies, and will also serve as an evaluation team for joint purchasing companies of school meal ingredients.
The monitoring team will be active from December 12th of this year to February 29th, 2024, enhancing understanding of school meal ingredients and acting as a communication channel to propose ideas for improving school meals.
Parents who wish to participate in the monitoring team can apply by visiting the Suwon Agricultural Technology Center website.
The monitoring team will receive training on topics such as the 'Ingredient Safety Inspection Process' and 'Understanding the Hygiene Inspection Checklist' starting with an inauguration ceremony on December 12th.
