Sang-gil Park, a member of the Gwangju Nam-gu Council, announced on the 15th that the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Operation of the Nam-gu Community Social Security Council" and the "Ordinance on the Safety of Nam-gu Daycare Centers" were passed at the 292nd Extraordinary Session of the Social Construction Committee.
The "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Operation of the Nam-gu Community Social Security Council" includes provisions such as establishing qualifications for council members and deciding operational rules to enhance the effectiveness of the Dong Community Social Security Council.
Additionally, the "Ordinance on the Safety of Nam-gu Daycare Centers" stipulates the responsibilities of the district mayor regarding daycare safety, the establishment of a basic safety plan, and the operation of a safety monitoring system to ensure the health and safety of infants and toddlers in daycare centers.
Councilor Park stated, "I hope to strengthen the operation of the Dong Community Social Security Council, which contributes to forming a warm welfare community through public-private cooperation, and to ensure the health and safety of infants and toddlers by securing safety in daycare centers."
The ordinances are scheduled to be enacted through deliberation and resolution at the 2nd plenary session of the 292nd Nam-gu Council Extraordinary Session to be held on the 20th.
