Blackpink World Tour Officially Sponsored by Airline
Korean Air announced that on the 15th afternoon, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic partnership with YG Entertainment (hereinafter YG) at Korean Air headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, attended by Jang Sung-hyun, Vice President of Marketing and IT at Korean Air, and Hwang Bo-kyung, Co-CEO of YG.
This agreement was prepared for Korean Air, which has a global network, and YG, a leader in K-pop culture, to jointly utilize content and online and offline channels to promote the global spread of Korean culture and strengthen brand status.

Korean Air will become the official airline sponsor of YG artist BLACKPINK’s world tour. Until August, Korean Air will provide discounted air tickets and free additional baggage support for BLACKPINK’s artists and staff on the world tour.
YG plans to provide promotional concert tickets, signed CDs, posters, and more for Korean Air Skypass members. Korean Air passengers will also be able to watch a special welcome message video from BLACKPINK onboard.
Both companies will continue to explore new forms of collaboration through the organic use of their respective tangible and intangible services and intellectual property.
Vice President Jang said, “Although the airline and entertainment industries are different, we expect synergy to be created by leveraging Korean Air’s solid global network and the K-pop content that YG has built.”
