Air Busan is hosting the ‘Air Busan SNS Content Contest’ to support the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
The theme of this contest is ‘Fly Air Busan, Fly Busan World Expo,’ and it was planned to spread the charm of Busan and the enthusiasm for hosting the Busan World Expo using Air Busan’s CI symbol, the ‘Seagull.’
Entries are divided into video and image categories, and participants can submit videos or images in any format related to the theme.
To participate, individuals must upload their entries on their personal SNS accounts with designated hashtags such as #AirBusan and #AirBusanSNSContentContest, then submit their entries along with an application form via email.
Submissions are accepted from the 15th until May 31. The final winners will be selected through a two-stage process including the first screening, public voting, and expert judging. Winners will be notified individually around mid-June.
The grand prize winner will receive two round-trip tickets valid on all Air Busan international routes.
Additionally, ▲two Excellence Awards winners will each receive one round-trip ticket on the international Kaohsiung route, ▲three Merit Award winners will each receive two round-trip domestic tickets, and ▲ten Encouragement Award winners will each receive an Air Busan model airplane. Furthermore, 20 participants in the public voting of the second screening will be selected to receive coffee vouchers.

Besides this contest, Air Busan is conducting various activities to promote the bid for the Busan World Expo.
Last September, promotional phrases for the World Expo Busan bid were wrapped on aircraft flying across various countries, and the Busan World Expo was also featured on boarding passes, in-flight broadcasts, and in-flight guidebooks, continuing promotional efforts.
An Air Busan official stated, “We believe that hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo will be an important opportunity not only for South Korea but also for Busan to leap forward as a global city, and as a regional airline, we are actively promoting the bid.”
He added, “Since the seagull is also the city bird of Busan, sharing a common symbol with Air Busan, we aim to raise awareness of both Air Busan and Busan through this contest and further fuel the enthusiasm for the Expo bid.”
Detailed information about the Air Busan contest can be found in the announcement section on the Air Busan website and mobile web/app, and any inquiries can be made via email.
