Government officials, including Hayrulla Bozarov, Governor of Fergana Province, responded, “POSCO International is one of the most trusted representative companies in Uzbekistan and has contributed to the country’s economic growth for a long time. We regard it not as a foreign investment company but as an Uzbek company,” and added, “We look forward to the opportunity to widely promote Uzbekistan alongside South Korea on the world stage through South Korea’s Expo hosting, with the event taking place in beautiful Busan.”
Vice Chairman Jung previously visited Argentina in September last year and met with Santiago Cafiero, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, to request support for the 2030 Busan Expo bid. Domestically, since February, he has met with Alfredo Carlos Vascu, Argentine Ambassador to Korea, Carlos Pen?afiel, Mexican Ambassador to Korea, and Dmytro Ponomarenko, Ukrainian Ambassador to Korea.

Since last year, the company has been conducting promotional activities through its local subsidiary to raise awareness of the 2030 Busan Expo among locals. In August last year, it sponsored the local performance of the opera "Chunhyangjeon" commemorating the 30th anniversary of Korea-Uzbekistan diplomatic relations. In October, it promoted the 2030 Busan Expo at the inauguration ceremony of the Youth Education Center in Fergana Province, where it participates as a cotton cluster business operator.
They installed Busan Expo banner advertisements on major buildings in downtown Tashkent and planned outdoor advertisements using large electronic billboards in busy areas.
A POSCO International official stated, “We will continue our 2030 Busan Expo bid activities as private diplomats, linked with various overseas businesses such as overseas resource development, food business, and eco-friendly material trading,” adding, “We plan to actively promote the Expo bid even in countries with limited exchanges with domestic companies by leveraging the company’s extensive global network.”
