Ulsan City Overseas Delegation Discusses Challenges and Corporate Support

Kim Du-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan, met with overseas expansion businesspeople in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to discuss corporate support measures.

Mayor Kim is leading the Ulsan City overseas delegation to target the Middle Eastern market. On the 14th at 6:30 PM (11:30 PM Korean time), Mayor Kim held a meeting in Abu Dhabi with businesspeople from Ulsan-based companies operating in the UAE.

About 10 people attended, including Mayor Kim, the head of KOTRA's Middle East regional office, and UAE branch managers from companies such as Hyundai Construction, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyosung, HMM, and Korea National Oil Corporation.

Ulsan City organized the meeting to listen to the voices of companies at the forefront of overseas expansion and to prepare support measures at the city level. The plan is to identify the requests and difficulties raised during this meeting and provide support to the companies.

Mayor Kim Du-gyeom said, “We will maintain continuous interest and take action to support Ulsan companies' overseas expansion so that the new Middle East boom becomes more active.”

At the meeting, businesspeople emphasized, “Recently, overall interest in Korea, including the Korean Wave, has been increasing in the UAE,” and added, “We hope for more active economic exchanges as well as human and cultural exchanges.”
