Dongjak-gu 'Moja Health Center' Opens... One-Stop Health Management Before and After Pregnancy

Infertility counseling and medical expenses, congenital anomaly testing, maternal and newborn health management, etc.

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha) announced the opening of the 'Mother and Child Health Center,' where pregnant women and babies can receive one-stop health care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting periods.

The 'Mother and Child Health Center' is located on the 3rd floor of the Dongjak-gu Public Health Center (42 Jangseungbaegi-ro 10-gil) and integrates previously scattered spaces such as the maternal and child health room and Nutrition Plus room on the 1st and 2nd floors.

First, couples experiencing infertility before pregnancy receive counseling and medical expense support related to the infertility couple support project.

For couples of childbearing age preparing for pregnancy, the male and female pregnancy preparation support project provides health surveys, examinations, and nutritional supplements.

For pregnant women, services include ▲weekly health counseling and management ▲provision of folic acid and iron supplements ▲early pregnancy tests, congenital anomaly testing, and other health checkup services.

Additionally, from 20 weeks of pregnancy until childbirth, registering for the 'Pregnant Women and Infants Home Visit Service' connects them to depression screening tests and psychological counseling for high-risk groups.

After childbirth, the 'Nutrition Plus Project' offers counseling and registration management for vulnerable mothers and infants, along with education and supplementary food tailored to each target group.

Furthermore, applying for 'Maternal and Newborn Health Care Support' enables health care workers to visit postpartum families and provide assistance services.

Along with this, support is provided for medical expenses related to premature and congenital anomaly infants, newborn hearing screening tests, and detailed diagnostic fees for developmental disabilities in infants and young children.

Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, stated, “The Mother and Child Health Center will provide one-stop services from pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, childbirth, to infant care,” adding, “We will do our best to make Dongjak-gu a great place to have and raise children.”
