Providing Attractions Such as Mounted Parade and Public Equestrian Acrobatics Demonstration
The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Autonomous Police Unit (Chief Go Chang-gyeong) announced on the 14th that, with the full-scale resumption of cruise passenger ship arrivals after three years due to COVID-19, it will support various equestrian activities to create a unique Jeju tourism atmosphere by providing distinctive attractions around arrival points such as Jeju Port and Gangjeong Civil-Military Complex Port.

The Autonomous Police Unit's mounted squad plans to offer specialized security services unique to Jeju, such as mounted parades and equestrian magic demonstrations, targeting visiting tourists as the Amadea from Japan arrives at Jeju Port on the 16th and the Diamond Princess from Japan docks at Gangjeong Port on the 19th.
Additionally, they will provide various conveniences including tourist guidance to foreign visitors, and take the opportunity to widely promote the excellence of Jeju horses through experiences such as photo sessions and allowing tourists to see and touch the horses up close.
This year, a total of 50 international cruise passenger ships are scheduled to visit with 120,000 visitors expected, and the Autonomous Police Unit's mounted squad plans to conduct mounted patrol support throughout the year in line with the international cruise ship arrivals.
Jeong Jae-cheol, head of the Autonomous Police Unit's mounted squad, said, "We expect to contribute to revitalizing Jeju tourism and creating a safe tourism atmosphere by providing unique attractions and distinctive services," adding, "We will strive to make the Jeju Autonomous Police mounted squad a renowned symbol of Jeju and the world."
