Gachon University unveiled its official mascot on the 14th.
On the 14th, Gachon University announced that it developed the mascot inspired by the 'Infinite Statue,' a sculpture symbolizing the university's infinite development and supporting the dreams and hopes of students growing into future core talents, at the lobby of Gachon Hall with Gachon University President Lee Gil-yeo and others in attendance.
The mascot features the headband reflecting the form characteristics of the Infinite Statue, and its color adopts cobalt blue, the official color of Gachon University.
The sub-characters were developed by characterizing the ladybug-designed campus circulation eco-bus and a fairy in the shape of the Infinite Statue.
Earlier, in December last year, Gachon University set the concept through a mascot vote among students over two weeks, followed by gathering opinions, and the mascot was designed by Professor Lee Yoon-young of Gachon University.
Gachon University plans to hold a naming contest for the mascot among students, produce mascot goods such as dolls, and utilize them for university promotion in the future.
President Lee Gil-yeo of Gachon University stated, "The mascot embodies Gachon University's identity of passionately and vigorously challenging infinite dreams," adding, "We hope it will be loved as Gachon University's 'symbol' and 'face,' contributing to enhancing the university's image and friendliness along with the Infinite Statue."
