Hyundai Motor Company Conducts Mindfulness Group Classes for Employees

Hyundai Motor Company is stepping up to support employees in resolving their everyday concerns.

On the 14th, Hyundai announced that starting in March, it will hold monthly mindfulness group classes on different topics for employees in collaboration with Oh Eun-young Academy, a specialized childcare mentoring organization.

The mindfulness group classes were planned to continuously support employees' difficulties after Hyundai invited psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun-young last June to hold the "Mind Counseling Talk Concert: These Days, Us."

The program will be held at Hyundai Motor’s Yangjae building and, in cooperation with Oh Eun-young Academy, will develop and operate customized classes each month focusing on topics such as child-rearing, managing job stress, and alleviating workplace conflicts.

The March classes will be held on the 14th and 28th. They will cover topics such as learning desirable parenting methods based on the temperament of parents and children, and understanding stress experienced in the work environment to aid self-awareness.

The classes will be conducted as small group mentoring sessions with professional counselors from Oh Eun-young Academy, who will assess and explain the child’s temperament or the participant’s current stress level. This is expected to contribute to employees’ emotional stability and problem-solving.

A Hyundai Motor Company official said, “When employees with similar concerns communicate during the group classes along with expert counseling, it will help in solving problems,” adding, “We will continue to create beneficial programs that can assist employees with their everyday concerns.”
