Participation Fee Donated to Bobath Children's Clinic
Lotte World Tower announced on the 14th that it will host the country's top vertical marathon event, the '2023 SkyRun,' on the 22nd of next month.
SkyRun is a vertical marathon where participants climb a total of 2,917 stairs up to the 123rd-floor observatory of Lotte World Tower. It was planned to awaken the spirit of challenge beyond limits and the importance of health, while delivering hope to children undergoing rehabilitation treatment in Korea.
The event is open to people of all ages and genders. The number of participants is 1,200 for the competitive category and a total of 2,000 including the non-competitive category, making it the largest SkyRun event held face-to-face to date. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 11 a.m. on the 20th through the Lotte ON SkyRun page, and the participation fee is 40,000 KRW. The participation fee will be fully donated in the name of each participant to Bobath Children's Clinic under the Lotte Medical Foundation.
All participants in the event will be provided in advance with a race kit containing an official Puma T-shirt and a bib number. Participants who complete the race will receive a medal along with a completion kit containing snacks and beverages from Lotte Confectionery and Lotte Chilsung Beverage, as well as a certificate of completion. Among the competitive category, the top three male and female participants with outstanding records will receive trophies and prizes such as Lotte gift certificates worth 1.23 million KRW, a Signiel Seoul stay with a meal for two, and a Puma sportswear set.
A representative from Lotte Corporation said, "As the no-mask era approaches rapidly, this event was planned on the largest scale ever with the meaning of everyone running freely together, shedding the suffocating masks," and added, "We expect this event, where participants challenge themselves vigorously with a new mindset, to be a great source of energy for all participants and children undergoing rehabilitation treatment."
