3rd Musco Moonlight KPGA Champions Open
Held September 14-15 with Total Prize Money of 100 Million KRW
The Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) announced on the 14th that it held a signing ceremony with sports lighting company Musco Korea for the 2023 KPGA Champions Tour '3rd Musco Moonlight KPGA Champions Open.'

The Musco Moonlight KPGA Champions Open started in 2021 as the first nighttime professional golf tournament in Korea. This year, it will be held on September 14-15 with a total prize money of 100 million KRW (16 million KRW for the winner). The venue will be decided later. A total of 136 players will participate, and the tournament will be operated in a shotgun format where groups of four start simultaneously on 18 holes after sunset.
Lee Dae-woo, head of Musco Korea, said, "We are very honored that this event provides an opportunity to prove that professional golf tournaments can be held at night using Musco's state-of-the-art LED lighting system. We hope this tournament will contribute not only to expanding the base of nighttime golf but also to the development of the KPGA Champions Tour and Korean professional golf."
Kim Byung-joon, CEO of the Korea Golf Tour (KGT), responded, "I sincerely thank the Musco Korea officials for their unwavering support over the past three years. We will make thorough preparations so that the Musco Moonlight KPGA Champions Open can establish itself as a representative tournament of the KPGA."
Meanwhile, Musco Korea has built expertise worldwide in the design and manufacturing of sports and large-space lighting solutions and holds over 75% market share in the U.S. market.
