Comic Characters as Unique Merchandise
On the 14th, CU announced that it will exclusively launch a unique beer collaboration with the popular animation "Jjangu-neun Motmallyeo" in the distribution industry on the 15th.
The Jjangu beers being introduced include three types: Shinhyungman Ale, Dumoknim Lager, and Action Beer Weizen. These products feature characters surrounding Jjangu from the comic as their main theme.
Shinhyungman Ale is a beer harmonizing a savory malt flavor with rich aromas of citrus, floral, and tropical fruits. Dumoknim Lager is characterized by a sweet yet softly tingling beer taste, while Action Beer Weizen offers the distinctive banana scent and rich foam typical of German-style wheat beer.
A BGF Retail official stated, "Convenience store beer customers now seek not only the taste and variety of products but also the unique emotions and fun contained within them," adding, "Jjangu beer is also receiving high interest from customers as it allows adults to encounter the cartoon characters they enjoyed in childhood as unique convenience store products."
