Hampyeong County and Hampyeong Fire Station in Jeollanam-do are making every effort to prevent spring forest fires.
According to the county on the 13th, in response to the special forest fire prevention period, a meeting was held on the 9th at the county office with Hampyeong Fire Station to discuss measures for preventing spring forest fires.
Through this meeting, both organizations promised to actively cooperate in establishing an initial firefighting system for early suppression in case of forest fires.
In addition, the county sought active cooperation from the fire station in educating and enforcing the complete ban on burning activities within 100 meters of forest areas.
Also, on the 10th, a forest fire prevention campaign was conducted at Wolya Traditional Market with the participation of over 70 members including volunteer firefighters and specialized forest fire prevention and suppression personnel.
A county official stated, “To protect our valuable forest resources, we ask residents to actively participate in forest fire prevention activities.”
