Park Hyung-in, Head of Gwangbokhoe Gyeongnam Branch, Donates Scholarship and Arim1004 Sponsorship Funds

Moving the Community with 'Quiet Good Deeds'

Park Hyung-in, head of the Gyeongsangnam-do branch of the Liberation Association, donated 2 million won in scholarships to the Geochang-gun Scholarship Foundation and 1,004,000 won in support funds to the Arim1004 Movement to Geochang-gun in celebration of Samiljeol (March 1st Movement Day).


This donation story, in which Director Park quietly visited the county office to deliver the funds collected from the veterans’ honor allowance and various meeting allowances provided by Geochang-gun, was revealed later, giving a warm impression to the local community.

Director Park said, “I hope the students who receive the scholarships will grow into talented individuals needed by society, carrying their dreams and hopes. I also wish this can be of some help to neighbors in need, such as children from low-income veteran families.”


Park Hyung-in, who is from Geochang-gun, currently serves as the 8th head of the Gyeongsangnam-do branch of the Liberation Association and as president of the Gyeongnam Disabled Badminton Association.


Gu In-mo, the county governor, expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you for donating the Geochang-gun Scholarship Foundation scholarships and support funds for the Arim1004 Movement to nurture local talents and help neighbors in need. We will use these funds carefully so that students can grow into outstanding talents and provide courage to those facing difficulties.”


The Liberation Association is composed of the bereaved families of patriotic martyrs and independence activists who devoted themselves to the country’s independence during the Japanese colonial period. It honors the noble spirit of the patriots, promotes national spirit, sublimates the spirit of independence into the national spirit, and takes the lead in peaceful reunification of the homeland.
