The prosecution investigating allegations of employment favoritism at Korea Integrated Logistics, a subsidiary of CJ Group, has conducted additional raids.
The Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Young-chul) sent prosecutors and investigators on the 13th to secure personnel-related documents at the offices of Korea Integrated Logistics and its parent company CJ Logistics, as well as the residences of executives and employees.
The prosecution is investigating allegations that former Gunpo Mayor Han Dae-hee's chief secretary during his 2018?2022 term and aides to Lee Hak-young, a member of the Democratic Party, improperly exerted influence to help acquaintances gain employment at Korea Integrated Logistics.
Earlier, on the 1st of last month, the prosecution conducted raids starting at Gunpo City Hall, followed by Lee Hak-young's residence, his constituency office, and the parliamentary communication center's legislative data distribution system.
