Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is taking the lead in revitalizing financial and economic education by signing a business agreement with the Korea Fiscal Information Service, becoming the first metropolitan and provincial office of education in the country to do so.
On the 13th, Busan Office of Education announced that it will sign a business agreement with the Korea Fiscal Information Service at 3:30 PM on the 14th in the first conference room of the city education office to promote financial and economic education.
The Korea Fiscal Information Service is a quasi-governmental institution under the Ministry of Economy and Finance that manages and operates the national fiscal system as a whole, with expertise in areas such as fiscal policy support through fiscal data analysis, personal information protection, and security control.
This agreement aims to successfully carry out projects related to the curriculum and seek sustainable development directions to revitalize fiscal and economic education for future generations.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to cooperate across all aspects of financial and economic education, including ▲utilizing Korea Fiscal Information Service’s fiscal education content such as ‘National Budget for Children and Adolescents - Making Our Village’ ▲supporting financial education-related textbooks, teaching aids, and instructors ▲disseminating best practices and conducting teacher training.
Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “It is very important to form a correct understanding of the value of money, consumption, and savings at a young age,” and added, “This agreement will greatly help cultivate students’ sound financial decision-making abilities through early financial education.”
