Incheon City is recruiting participants for the '2023 Dream Check Card Project,' which supports job-seeking activities for young people, until the 31st of this month.
The Dream Check Card is a project initiated by Incheon City since 2019 to support job-seeking expenses for unemployed youth facing economic difficulties, aiming to stabilize their lives and assist their employment activities.
Direct and indirect costs necessary for job-seeking activities will be provided at 500,000 KRW per month for up to 6 months (3,000,000 KRW). To revitalize the local economy, part of the support fund will be provided as Incheon Love Gift Certificates (Incheon e-eum) consumption coupons.
The support funds can be used for education fees necessary for employment, book purchases, certification exam fees, as well as interview preparation costs, transportation expenses, medical expenses, and more.
Eligible applicants are unemployed youth aged 18 to 39 residing in Incheon, who have graduated from their final school and whose household income is at or below 150% of the median income (based on health insurance income assessment criteria).
Youth currently participating in similar projects from other organizations or working 30 hours or more per week are excluded from applying. Applications can be submitted on the Incheon Youth Social Advancement website by 5 p.m. on the 31st.
The city plans to select around 670 recipients after a comprehensive review of documents, household income, duration of unemployment, and period of residence in Incheon.
Additional points will be given to vulnerable groups, national merit recipients, and youth eligible for veterans' benefits. The final list of recipients will be announced on April 17.
