Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 425 applicants who wish to participate in the '2023 2nd Phase Public Work Project' from the 20th to the 24th of this month.
This project will be conducted from May 8 to August 22 at 69 workplaces including 50 district administrative welfare centers in Seongnam, citizen farms, and waste disposal facilities.
Participants aged 18 to 64 will work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive 48,100 KRW per day (based on 5 hours).
Those aged 65 and over will work 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive 28,860 KRW per day (based on 3 hours).
All participants will receive an additional 5,000 KRW per day for transportation and snacks as incidental expenses. Four major insurances are mandatory depending on age.
Eligibility requires being a Seongnam citizen as of the announcement date, aged 18 or older, capable of working, unemployed or without regular income, with a household combined income at or below 60% of the median income, and assets of 400 million KRW or less.
Applicants must bring their ID and other supporting documents to the administrative welfare center of their district within the application period and submit the application form.
Seongnam City will select participants considering factors such as household head status, household income, assets, and number of dependents.
The city will notify selected participants individually on the 26th of next month.
