Coca-Cola announced on the 13th that its low-calorie sports drink brand Powerade will launch a lower-calorie version called ‘Powerade Zero.’
The newly introduced ‘Powerade Zero’ is a beverage that replenishes fluids easily lost during exercise without the calorie burden. It maintains the clean taste of the popular low-calorie Powerade ‘Mountain Blast’ while reducing calories even further. Unlike the existing Powerade’s black label, Powerade Zero features a white label that gives a light and refreshing image.
The new product will be released in a 600ml PET bottle and will be available through Coca-Cola Beverage, a subsidiary of LG Household & Health Care, at convenience stores, large supermarkets, the official Coca-Cola app ‘Co-K Play,’ and other online channels. With this new launch, the sports drink brand ‘Powerade’ now offers a lineup of four products, including the flagship ‘Powerade Mountain Blast,’ ‘Powerade Purple Storm,’ and ‘Powerade Megabolts.’
A Coca-Cola representative said, “We have strengthened the Powerade brand lineup in line with the consumer trend favoring low-calorie drinks. We hope that exercise enthusiasts will enjoy Powerade Zero as a sports drink they can consume without worrying about calories after their workouts.”
