"The Headphone Craze Returns"… Abley Audio Device Transaction Volume Soars

Style commerce platform Abley announced on the 13th that the transaction volume in the audio equipment category has surged.


Based on data from January to February this year, the transaction volume in the audio equipment category on Abley increased by 230% (3.3 times) compared to the previous year. During the audio equipment special event held from March 6 to 8, the transaction volume of the global tech brand Sony within Abley increased about 7 times compared to the previous period (February 3 to 5). During the same period, the transaction volume of the sound specialist brand Britz on Abley also increased significantly by about 3 times.

Abley cited the expansion of the ‘Y2K (early 2000s retro aesthetic)’ trend, which swept the fashion industry, into everyday life as a major driving force behind this achievement. As the MZ (Millennial + Generation Z) generation, who value style not only in fashion and beauty but also in lifestyle categories, increases, it appears that more people are showing off Y2K vibes with large headphones that cover the entire ear.
