4 Boiler Companies Donate Eco-Friendly Boilers to Energy-Vulnerable Groups in Seoul

Donation in Kind of 120 Units

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 13th that four boiler manufacturers (Kyungdong Navien, Kiturami, Daesung Celtic Enersys, Rinnai Korea) will donate 120 eco-friendly boilers in kind to support energy-vulnerable groups.

This donation is planned to assist low-income households that are using old boilers or experiencing difficulties due to boiler malfunctions. The Seoul Social Welfare Council will select the recipients in cooperation with social welfare facilities and institutions, and installation costs will be supported by the Seoul Energy Welfare Citizen Fund.

The donation handover ceremony will be held on the afternoon of the same day on the 6th floor of the new Seoul City Hall building. Attendees include Lee In-geun, Director of the Seoul Climate and Environment Headquarters; Byun In-sik, Head of Sales Planning at Kyungdong Navien; Kim Byung-kwan, Head of Distribution at Kiturami; Jung Chang-seop, Sales Team Leader at Daesung Celtic Enersys; Kim Il-kwon, Sales Director at Rinnai Korea; and Jeon Myung-soo, Secretary General of the Seoul Social Welfare Council.

The boiler manufacturers participating in this donation stated, “We hope to alleviate the difficulties faced by vulnerable groups due to the recent surge in energy prices and provide a small help. We will continue to take the lead in social contribution activities.”

Jeon Myung-soo, Secretary General of the Seoul Social Welfare Council, expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for donating eco-friendly boilers in kind so that neighbors in need are not left out.” He added, “We will continue to closely monitor the difficulties of marginalized groups and make every effort to spread positive influence.”

Lee In-geun, Director of the Seoul Climate and Environment Headquarters, said, “We are pleased that boiler manufacturers representing our country have delivered warm support.” He added, “Amid the recent economic difficulties, we hope this will help low-income groups live comfortably even a little, and Seoul will do its best to improve energy welfare for low-income households.”
