The South Korean World Baseball Classic (WBC) national baseball team secured their first win after two losses in the group stage, led by starting pitcher Park Se-woong's strong performance and Kim Ha-seong's two home runs.
The team defeated the Czech Republic 7-3 in the Group B match held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on the 12th.
Starting pitcher Park Se-woong pitched 4 and 2/3 scoreless innings, while Kim Ha-seong contributed with two hits, both home runs, finishing with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
With this, the team kept their slim hopes alive for advancing to the WBC quarterfinals. Now with a 1-2 record, the team has their final group stage game against China scheduled for 7 PM on the 13th.
