Seoul City to Launch 'Employment Live Special Lecture' in March

A Total of 10 Sessions Held This Year in Line with Recruitment Schedule

Seoul City announced on the 13th that starting from March, employment live special lectures will be held regularly at 9 PM on the second Tuesday of every month on the employment YouTube channel 'Kang Minhyuk Channel,' tailored to the hiring season and the needs of job seekers. A total of 10 special lectures will be held this year on various topics each month, aligned with the hiring season and youth demand.


Looking at the major schedule for this year, in April, the program will be introduced to allow various applicants to participate in the project in line with the recruitment period for the 'Seoul-type Youth Intern Job Camp.' This year, the Youth Intern Job Camp has newly added international organizations such as Tesla Korea, Korea Pepsi-Cola, the World Smart City Organization (WeGO), and the UN Association World Federation Seoul Office, which is expected to receive high enthusiasm from young people.

In August, the second half recruitment process of Seoul City's representative youth employment support project, the "Youth Employment Academy," will be introduced, and information on the participant recruitment schedule will be provided. In particular, a senior who has been employed after completing the Youth Employment Academy will be invited to vividly share the features, benefits, and employment preparation process of the Youth Employment Academy.


Additionally, to provide various corporate information, topics such as exploring foreign-affiliated and mid-sized companies (October), providing job information in new business fields with high youth interest such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data (November), and the 2024 hiring outlook and preview of industry-specific hiring trends (December) will be held monthly on diverse themes.


The first live special lecture of this year will be held tomorrow at 9 PM. A recruitment manager from a major company (Kia HR manager) will appear to listen to the employment concerns of young people preparing for the 2023 first half open recruitment, and a senior employee with 1-2 years of experience will provide realistic advice and information on employment reviews and tips for passing.


Song Hojae, Director of Economic and Job Planning at Seoul City, said, "The employment live special lectures, started to support non-face-to-face employment for young job seekers, have been operated as a time to directly hear information from current workers who are difficult to meet in person and communicate in real time, gaining great empathy and response from young people." He added, "We plan to provide multifaceted employment support services not only by offering timely and job-specific employment information through various channels but also through accessible employment information hubs such as the Youth Vitality Center and Seoul City's metropolitan job cafes."
