Microsoft announced on the 10th that it has added a ChatGPT preview to the Azure OpenAI Service.
The Azure OpenAI Service is a cloud service that provides OpenAI's latest artificial intelligence (AI) systems and was officially launched last January. Currently, more than 1,000 organizations are utilizing this service.
Going forward, developers will be able to easily customize AI-based experiences using ChatGPT on Azure and apply them to applications (apps). This is possible in various scenarios such as improving existing bots, summarizing call center conversations, generating new ad copy with personalized recommendations, and automating claim processing.
Microsoft cloud customers can use ChatGPT technology immediately, with pricing set at $0.002 per 1,000 tokens. Billing for all ChatGPT usage will begin on March 13.
Access to the Azure OpenAI Service requires a separate application from customers and developers. Developers must explain their intended use or the app in which it will be used. A content filter specifically designed to detect abusive, hateful, and offensive harmful content continuously monitors both input and generated content in the service. If a policy violation is confirmed, Microsoft requests developers to take immediate action to prevent further misuse.
Currently, Microsoft is striving to realize responsible AI and address AI misuse issues through a four-step approach consisting of ▲app protection ▲technical protection ▲process and policy protection ▲documentation such as design guidelines and transparency notes.
