SPC announced on the 10th that it has signed a business agreement with the Seongnam Branch of the Central Regional Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor to carry out a 'Safety Culture Expansion Campaign.'
Through this agreement, SPC plans to jointly cooperate with the Seongnam Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor to promote the spread of safety culture in the eastern Gyeonggi region, including accident prevention at industrial sites and internalization of safety awareness in local communities. In particular, various promotional activities will be promoted to raise safety awareness not only among employers and workers but also among citizens in their daily lives.
By June, promotional phrases and logos announcing the safety culture expansion campaign will be attached to the outer packaging of products produced at business sites located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi, such as Paris Croissant and Shani, taking the lead in forming a social consensus on safety culture. In addition, various safety culture events will be supported, and activities to establish a safety and health prevention autonomous system, such as joint safety inspections by labor and management, will be carried out.
Meanwhile, SPC also participated in the launch ceremony of the 'Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group' for the eastern Gyeonggi region held on the 9th at the Hanul Auditorium of Korea Job World, attended by 17 public and private institutions including the Seongnam Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and local company officials, as well as more than 20 companies.
An SPC official said, “We will plan and host various safety culture activities that allow broad participation from companies and citizens to fulfill our role and responsibility as a safety entity,” adding, “We will continue to cooperate to promote safety culture practice in the eastern Gyeonggi region.”
