17-Year-Old Driver to Compete in International Racing Competition

Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 10th that it has selected Park Jun-ui (17 years old) and Park Jun-seong (27 years old) as the final selected players for the 'Korean Junior Driver Program.'


This program has been conducted since last year targeting eight junior drivers who participated in Korea's largest one-make race event, the Hyundai N Festival. After in-depth evaluations and expert interviews, the final participants were selected in the second half of last year, and the company announced that these two players were chosen as the first participants. Both players belong to Solite Indigo Racing and ranked 1st and 2nd in the N1 Pro Class seasons 1 and 2.

Player Park Jun-ui signed a sponsorship agreement with Hyundai Sungwoo Solite and Hankook Tire to support his full-season participation in the TCR Italy scheduled from next month to October. Player Park Jun-seong will make his debut as a racing driver representing Korea at the N?rburgring 24 Hours endurance race held in May.


Hyundai Motor Company has decided to continue discovering young and talented players every year through the Junior Driver Program. Till Vattenberg, Head of Hyundai Motor N Brand and Motorsports Division, stated, "We will continue to make various efforts to contribute to the development of Korean motorsports culture."
