Korean Air announced on the 10th that it plans to increase flights between Korea and China starting from the 17th, following an agreement to resume the expansion of international flights between the two countries.
Korean Air currently operates 13 weekly flights on Korea-China routes and plans to expand this to 84 flights by the end of this month, and further increase to 99 flights starting in May.
First, the Incheon~Xi'an route will resume operations twice a week starting on the 17th. Subsequently, routes to Beijing, Shenzhen, and Xiamen will be reinstated. Additionally, from the 19th, flights on the Incheon~Dalian route, as well as to Nanjing, Qingdao, and Guangzhou, will be increased.
A Korean Air official stated, "We will strive to revitalize the aviation and tourism industries and enhance Incheon Airport's status as a hub by expanding the transfer network originating from China." The official added, "We have completed pre-inspections of sales offices and airport services in each Chinese city and will make every effort to ensure safe operations and provide customer convenience in preparation for the surge in passenger demand."
