The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea and TMG (Thien Minh Group) have signed an MOU regarding tourism cooperation between the Korean and Vietnamese markets. Accordingly, both parties will establish a strategic partnership to strengthen the promotion of tourism between Korea and Vietnam.


The signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement to develop tourism exchanges between Korea and Vietnam was held on March 1 at the Flower Garden Hotel in Hanoi. Attendees included Tran Trong Kien, CEO of TMG Group; Ly Xuong Can (Lee Chang-geun), Tourism Ambassador of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea; Lee Jong-il, Secretary General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea; Cha Se-young, CEO of Kondol (KONDOR); and Lee Yoo-jin, CEO of WKBK (Wankabikae).


Kondol Co., Ltd., a venture company, and its subsidiary Kondol Tech based in Vietnam, took charge of organizing this cooperation agreement ceremony. They announced their roles and participation as catalysts in tourism projects including △ development cooperation for tourism exchanges, △ formation and participation in communities and councils, △ hosting and organizing conferences, and △ forming and recruiting consortiums.


TMG Group, established in 1994, is one of Asia’s leading integrated travel and hospitality groups. Its main businesses include hospitality, the online travel agency iVIVU, cruises, and charter flight services. The group attracts over 200,000 VIP guests annually to its owned hotels and resorts, while the iVIVU OTA platform processes over one million transactions annually, attracting more than 500,000 tourists.

The MOU between the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea and TMG Group lays the foundation for promoting tourism and activities between the two countries through jointly hosted events such as media campaigns, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and other collaborative activities together with Kondol.


Tran Trong Kien, Chairman of TMG Group, stated, “Among approximately 3.5 million foreign tourists who visited Vietnam in 2022, Korean tourists accounted for a significant share. TMG Group aims to welcome 30,000 to 50,000 Korean guests in Vietnam and enable them to enjoy Vietnam using our premium products and VIP services.” He added, “Our goal is to attract more tourists and provide VIP services to deliver the highest satisfaction, thereby further strengthening the relationship between the two countries.”


Ly Xuong Can (Lee Chang-geun), Tourism Ambassador of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea, said, “The tourism industry has faced intense competition since the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, we hope that the cooperative relationship between TMG Group and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea will promote tourism and expand exchanges in various fields such as tourism and trade between Vietnam and Korea.” He continued, “For the activation of Korea-Vietnam tourism, the swift administrative support from Vietnamese related agencies and cooperation with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea will lead to exchange and cooperation projects between the two countries, which will enjoy remarkable development and a sustainable partnership lasting for the next 30 years.”


Previously, in June 2022, TMG Group held a Vietnam tourism promotion event in Korea together with Vietnam Airlines. TMG announced that it will promote Vietnamese tourism worldwide in 2023 to attract more international tourists to Vietnam.


The signing ceremony emphasized that based on 30 years of experience, TMG Group, which provides Asia’s best travel destination management, hospitality, cruises, and customer-centered VIP services using charter flights, will be an excellent partner in all activities by utilizing and cooperating with the infrastructure of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea and Kondol.


Additionally, Kondol and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea concluded the ceremony by stating plans to provide opportunities for companies and organizations requiring infrastructure expansion and council formation from Korea to Vietnam and from Vietnam to Korea.
