Gmarket announced on the 10th that it will launch a permanent magazine section that brings together magazines from various fields.
According to Gmarket, the transaction amount of single books including magazines increased by 75% compared to the previous year. The proportion of magazines within single books also rose to 23%, marking the highest share in four years.
Gmarket and Auction each opened permanent sections to introduce customers to magazines covering various content such as subscriptions, fashion, learning, and hobbies. They also provide information on subscription and pre-order magazines, as well as bestsellers.
To celebrate the opening of this permanent section, discount benefits have been prepared. Until 11 PM on the 31st of this month, a 5% coupon for subscription magazines with a maximum discount of 3,000 KRW will be offered, and it can be issued up to five times a day. New single-issue magazines are eligible for up to 15% instant discount when paying over 5,000 KRW with event cards, including Smile Card.
A Gmarket representative said, “As the popularity of magazines increases, we operate the special exhibition in the form of a permanent section so that customers can quickly and conveniently check the magazines they want and see the latest trends at a glance. We plan to continue offering differentiated special exhibitions in the future.”
