The Bank of Korea announced on the 10th that the current account deficit reached $4.52 billion in January.
According to the Bank of Korea, the goods balance shifted from a surplus of $1.54 billion in the same month last year to a deficit of $7.46 billion in January. This marks four consecutive months of deficits since October last year. The services balance deficit also expanded from $830 million in the same month last year to $3.27 billion.
