Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced on the 10th that it has launched the 'Songpa-gu Housing Maintenance Project Advisory Committee,' composed of experts in various fields, to expedite the promotion of housing maintenance projects.
On the 9th at 10 a.m., the inauguration and appointment ceremony for the 'Songpa-gu Housing Maintenance Project Advisory Committee' was held in the large conference room of Songpa-gu Office. This is the first time Songpa-gu has formed an advisory committee to accelerate reconstruction and redevelopment projects.
The 'Songpa-gu Housing Maintenance Project Advisory Committee' consists of a total of 42 experts in various fields such as urban maintenance, urban and architectural planning, urban maintenance laws, and appraisal, including professors, architects, and appraisers, with the Director of the Urban Modernization Bureau of Songpa-gu serving as the chairperson.
Mayor Seo Gang-seok of Songpa-gu explained, "To expedite delayed maintenance projects, it is essential to prevent internal conflicts, which are major obstacles to project promotion, and resolve organizational disputes. We have established a channel to seek advice on various issues arising during maintenance projects."
Currently, Songpa-gu is promoting residential environment improvement projects in a total of 81 areas, including 32 reconstruction sites, 14 apartment remodeling sites, 15 street housing maintenance projects, 3 small-scale reconstruction sites, 8 regional housing cooperatives, and 9 redevelopment sites.
Accordingly, the 'Songpa-gu Housing Maintenance Project Advisory Committee' will perform roles such as ▲providing customized advice by type, stage, and target area of housing maintenance projects within the region ▲practical training for union executives such as housing maintenance project union presidents ▲active participation and mediation in various disputes including group and chronic complaints ▲establishing continuous cooperation channels with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Seoul City, and local council members ▲seeking institutional improvement plans to revitalize maintenance projects.
In particular, the committee plans to support the establishment of maintenance plans focusing on aging complexes in areas such as Olympic Athletes' Village and Olympic Family, where reconstruction maintenance plans have not been established, and to build close cooperation channels with Seoul City to address issues such as disagreements among related agencies, thereby striving to accelerate reconstruction projects in Songpa-gu.
Mayor Seo Gang-seok of Songpa-gu stated, "Through the 'Songpa-gu Housing Maintenance Project Advisory Committee,' we will assist the prompt processing of housing maintenance projects such as redevelopment and reconstruction, provide consulting tailored to local circumstances to residents, and actively support the swift promotion of reconstruction projects in Songpa-gu."

Regular Operation of Maintenance Project Communication Meetings
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held a communication session on the 6th at the 8th-floor mayor’s office of Dobong-gu Office with resident representatives from Ssangmun 3-dong 724 area and Banghak 1-dong 685 area, which were selected as candidates for rapid integrated planning.
The meeting was held separately at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., with about five resident representatives attending per candidate site.
This meeting was organized to collect opinions from project stakeholders and strengthen communication with residents. Resident representatives attending the meeting requested Dobong-gu’s active support to improve project feasibility and ensure smooth progress of the housing redevelopment projects.
Going forward, the district plans to operate 'Maintenance Project Communication Meetings' regularly to discuss solutions for conflicts and disputes within project areas and to listen to residents’ opinions on difficulties and grievances during the project process.
Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, "Active communication with residents is essential for the successful promotion of redevelopment projects. Through the regular operation of 'Maintenance Project Communication Meetings,' we will enhance residents’ understanding of maintenance projects in the redevelopment areas and continue communication. We will also actively review ways to provide support within legal limits to ensure residents receive maximum benefits."
In the future, the district plans to proceed with selecting a service provider for the establishment of a maintenance plan for Banghak-dong 685 area and the procedure for collecting residents’ consent forms for designating the maintenance zone in Ssangmun-dong 724 area.
Geumcheon-gu Publicly Recruits Temporary Workers for Dawn Job Shelter Operation
Tent Shelter Installation, Beverage Provision, and Environmental Maintenance Starting in April

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) is publicly recruiting one temporary worker to work at the 'Dawn Job Shelter' starting in April.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old, physically healthy, able to work during dawn hours, and residents of Geumcheon-gu.
Those wishing to participate can download the application form and other documents from the 'Notices and Announcements' section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website, fill them out, and submit them in person to the 9th floor Job and Youth Division of the district office or via email by March 15.
The hiring process will consist of a first round of document screening and a second round of interviews. The final successful candidate will be posted on the Geumcheon-gu Office website on March 24 and notified individually.
The hired worker will work five days a week, three hours per day from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays, performing duties such as ▲installing tent shelters ▲providing beverages ▲maintaining the surrounding environment ▲ensuring safety around the shelter. The daily wage is 44,630 KRW, reflecting the Geumcheon-gu living wage and additional pay for dawn work.
The Geumcheon-gu Dawn Job Shelter operates year-round on the sidewalk in front of 475 Siheung-daero (Doksan Hill Dawn Labor Market) to support day laborers seeking jobs at dawn. It provides tent shelters and beverages such as tea and coffee to day laborers.
Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon of Geumcheon-gu said, "I hope the Dawn Job Shelter becomes a warm resting place where day laborers can rest comfortably. We ask residents to participate responsibly in providing this shelter to day labor workers."
Jongno-gu Launches ‘Jongno Single Home Care’ for Minor Repairs in Single-Person Households
Supports Up to 150,000 KRW for Curtain Installation and Fluorescent Light Replacement Difficult to Do Alone
Jongno-gu (Mayor Jeong Mun-heon) will launch 'Jongno Single Home Care' from the 13th to support single-person households by repairing and maintaining minor housing defects and replacing consumables.
This service was introduced so that single-person household residents, who often have difficulty dealing with various minor malfunctions or inconveniences at home, can receive repairs without worrying about costs.
The target beneficiaries are single-person households residing in houses under the Housing Act with an income at or below 150% of the median income in Jongno-gu. Residents of quasi-housing (dormitories, goshiwon, officetels, etc.) are excluded.
Supported items include repairs and replacements of fluorescent lights, outlets, faucets, door handles, screen repairs, nailing, repairs and replacement of parts for washbasins, sinks, and toilets.
Additionally, the service supports simple repairs within a limit of 150,000 KRW, including curtain or blind installation difficult to do alone and minor silicone work. Any costs exceeding the limit must be borne by the applicant.
The application period is from the 13th of this month to June 30. Applicants can submit the application form, resident registration certificate, and income verification documents through the district office website or the local community service center.
Afterward, repair companies contracted with the district will coordinate visit schedules via KakaoTalk or phone, consult on repair details and costs, and provide on-site services. For female single-person households who may feel uneasy about visits from strangers, female repair technicians will be assigned.
