Dong-A University held an awards ceremony for the top departments that received S grades by category in the departmental evaluation.
Dong-A University conducts annual departmental evaluations to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the university through a self-competition system among departments and to systematically prepare for and manage performance in various external evaluations such as university institutional accreditation.
At the 2022 Departmental Evaluation Top Department Awards Ceremony held on the 7th at the main conference room of the Seunghak Campus university headquarters, six departments including the Department of Management Information Systems, Department of Tourism Management, Department of Food and Nutrition, Department of Architectural Engineering, Department of Bio-Resource Industry, and Department of Industrial Design received certificates and incentives.
The Department of Management Information Systems, Department of Food and Nutrition, and Department of Industrial Design achieved the distinction of being selected as top departments for four consecutive years since the 2019 academic year.

The departmental evaluation was divided into areas such as ‘Education and Educational Outcomes,’ ‘Research and Industry-Academia Cooperation,’ and ‘Department Management,’ and was conducted with different weightings across 16 indicators including student enrollment rate, employment rate, research and industry-academia achievement evaluation, and department specialization performance, taking into account the characteristics of each category.
The Department of Management Information Systems received high evaluations in ‘Industry-Academia Achievements’ and ‘Participation in Financial Support Projects,’ the Department of Tourism Management in ‘Research Achievements’ and ‘Recruitment of International Students,’ the Department of Food and Nutrition in ‘Curriculum Improvement Efforts’ and ‘Department Specialization Performance,’ the Department of Architectural Engineering in ‘Industry-Academia Achievements’ and ‘Recruitment of International Students,’ the Department of Bio-Resource Industry in ‘Lecture Evaluations’ and ‘Department Satisfaction,’ and the Department of Industrial Design in ‘Dropout Rate,’ ‘Employment Rate,’ and ‘Department Satisfaction.’
