Han Dong-hoon, Minister of Justice, who is on a business trip in Europe, met with G?rald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior and Overseas Territories in charge of French immigration policy, on the 8th (local time), the Ministry of Justice announced on the 9th.

The Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories is the main French administrative agency responsible for immigration policy, public security, border control, and disaster preparedness. Within the ministry, the Directorate-General for Foreigners establishes immigration and integration policies, which are implemented by the Immigration and Integration Office.
The two ministers exchanged information on current issues related to immigration, migration, and border management policies between Korea and France, and agreed to establish a cooperative framework between authorities to address various problems that may arise from population movements between countries.
Minister Han plans to visit The Hague in the Netherlands and Berlin in Germany following his visit to France before returning to Korea.
