By product category, food crops such as rice lead with 339 farms, followed by livestock with 209 farms, vegetables with 112 farms, distribution and processing with 75 farms, and 18 farms in special crops, fruit trees, and other categories.

Among these, compared to last year, livestock farms increased by 20 and processing and distribution farms by 21, driving the growth of high-income farmers.

The increase in Hanwoo cattle farms and their expansion, as well as the rise in mixed farming including paddy fields, highlighted the growth in the livestock sector. The activation of processing and distribution farms through sales at Haenam Miso and local food direct stores is also analyzed as a factor leading to the increase in high-income farms.

Haenam-gun, with the largest farmland area nationwide and ranking first in eco-friendly certified agricultural products, is leading the industrialization of agriculture into a high-income sector by producing high-quality agricultural products based on a clean environment and strengthening distribution.

In the 8th term of the civilian administration, aiming for a "sustainable future rural area," the county is focusing administrative efforts by investing 29.5% of the total county budget this year into agriculture, forestry, marine, and fisheries sectors.

The county is playing a prominent role as a leading local government in scaling up agriculture, modernizing facilities to reduce management costs, ensuring stable production and market channels for high-quality agricultural and livestock products, expanding and diversifying eco-friendly agricultural product distribution networks, practicing eco-friendly livestock farming, and promoting mixed farming.

A county official stated, "Achieving first place in high-income farmers for three consecutive years is the result of steady support with a long-term perspective on future agriculture," adding, "We will continue to focus on creating wealthy rural areas by fostering high value-added future agriculture such as smart farms, promoting diversification by product centered on organic farming, and revitalizing various processing, distribution, and sales of agricultural and livestock products."
