DA Technology Ships 100 Billion KRW Worth of Secondary Battery Equipment... "Expecting 1Q Performance Turnaround"

DA Technology has begun shipping supply contracts worth over 100 billion KRW achieved last year, and these will be reflected in sales starting from the first quarter.

DA Technology announced on the 9th that it plans to complete the shipment of secondary battery equipment worth 40 billion KRW by the end of March. This shipment is based on supply contracts for secondary battery notching-stacking equipment signed by December last year, which will be exported to the Hyundai Motor-LG Energy Solution joint factory in Indonesia and to China.

Shipments for supply contracts worth 83.4 billion KRW signed after December are also planned to be completed by September. With the full-scale recognition of sales from orders and supplies starting in the first quarter, significant growth in scale and profit improvement are expected this year.

As of last year, DA Technology's equipment order amount reached 120 billion KRW, marking an all-time high. Typically, supply contracts begin shipment within six months, and sales are recognized based on the shipment date. DA Technology is maximizing factory operation rates to handle the largest order volume in its history.

A company representative stated, “We have started shipping secondary battery equipment for the US and China markets since early March, and once shipments are completed, we expect to achieve business results in the first quarter alone that approach last year’s sales scale (53.5 billion KRW).” He added, “We have already completed all preparations for expanding orders, including long-term research and development and production facility expansion, so shipments and exports according to contract deadlines are expected to proceed smoothly.”

He continued, “Our stacking equipment is evaluated as superior to competitors in terms of speed and yield, so further order expansion is also expected.” He added, “With the full-scale recognition of sales, we will put all efforts into improving factory operation rates and securing additional orders to achieve not only growth in scale but also a full turnaround in the first quarter.”
