Proven Excellence of ‘Saedeulman’ Rice, 33 Tons Exported to the US This Year

Rice from Saedeulman, an agricultural corporation subsidiary of Easy Holdings, has proven its excellence and is now on the path to export to the United States. Although domestic rice consumption has been declining annually, leading to oversupply and falling rice prices, Saedeulman's new export breakthrough is expected to contribute to stabilizing the domestic rice supply and demand.

Proven Excellence of ‘Saedeulman’ Rice, 33 Tons Exported to the US This Year

On the 9th, Saedeulman announced that it exported 10 tons of rice to restaurants and other food service establishments in the LA area of the United States. This is the third shipment this year, bringing the total exports to 33 tons so far in 2024. Due to positive local responses, Saedeulman is expected to proceed with additional shipments.

In particular, all of Saedeulman's rice products have received the 'Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)' certification from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Saedeulman's rice, produced in the Saesan reclaimed land, a global migratory bird habitat, is rich in minerals, glossy, sticky, and has excellent texture, classifying it as a high-quality variety. Saedeulman manages the quality of each grain through its own grain drying and storage facilities and produces only safe and clean high-quality rice by undergoing three rounds of color sorting with state-of-the-art milling equipment.

Based on the product's excellence, Saedeulman first began exporting in 2017 and has cumulatively exported about 92 tons to the United States up to recently. Saedeulman is also in discussions to export to the Netherlands, and once the details are finalized, it plans to start exports immediately.

A Saedeulman representative said, "Saedeulman cultivates rice in the Saesan reclaimed land, a migratory bird habitat rich in organic and inorganic materials, practicing 'natural circulation agriculture' through activities such as providing food to protect migratory birds, nurturing the future of agriculture. We also aim to prepare for the recent concerns of farmers, including the decline in rice prices and oversupply issues directly linked to the future, by pioneering export routes."

Meanwhile, the rice brands produced by Saedeulman include ▲Yejimi ▲Baekokhyang ▲Haemian ▲Rice Grown with Tteumbugi ▲Rice Where Georigi Comes ▲Rice from the West Sea ▲Seohae Jinmi Rice, and they are available for purchase on open markets such as Coupang, Gmarket, Auction, Wemakeprice, as well as on Saedeulman's official website.
