Innocean Wins 8 Main Awards at '2023 Spikes Asia' Hyundai Motor Group 'Hydrogen Cleaning Truck'

Innocean announced on the 9th that it won a total of 8 main awards at the ‘2023 Spikes Asia,’ the most prestigious advertising festival in the Asia-Pacific region, including 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 5 Bronze awards.

At this year’s Spikes Asia, Innocean won the Gold award in the Innovation category, which is given to works presenting groundbreaking innovations, technologies, or problem-solving methods, for Hyundai Motor Group’s ‘Hydrogen Garbage Truck’ campaign.

The Hyundai Motor Group Hydrogen Garbage Truck campaign, planned and produced by Innocean, utilized the world’s first developed hydrogen garbage truck to improve the working environment and lives of neighbors, including sanitation workers. The campaign captured this process on video and delivered a message about the socially beneficial use of ‘hydrogen commercial mobility,’ receiving high praise from consumers. In addition to the Gold award, the campaign also won a Silver award in the Brand Experience & Activation category, and Bronze awards in both the Outdoor and PR categories.

Additionally, Innocean won a Silver award in the Brand Experience & Activation category for Hanwha Group’s ‘Solar Beehive’ campaign, which focused on creative and comprehensive brand building. The campaign also received Bronze awards in the Creative Data and Outdoor categories.

The campaign unveiled the Solar Beehive, Korea’s first carbon-reducing beehive powered by solar energy, on May 20 last year to commemorate ‘UN World Bee Day,’ raising awareness about biodiversity conservation and climate change response. In response to ecosystem collapse caused by the drastic decline in bee populations, the campaign developed a ‘smart beehive’ that collects bee activity data and contributes to research on preserving bee populations by maintaining a stable breeding environment. Furthermore, all power for the beehive is supplied from eco-friendly solar energy, which greatly recognized the campaign’s creativity.

Moreover, Innocean’s Australian branch received a Bronze award in the Music category for the nature conservation participation campaign ‘Voice of the Sea,’ conducted in collaboration with the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

Kim Jeong-ah, Vice President of Innocean, said, “We are pleased to receive awards at the most prestigious advertising festival in the Asia-Pacific region,” and added, “We will continue to create campaigns that resonate with many people through Innocean’s unique creativity.”
