Gyeonggi Construction Headquarters Conducts 'Spring Thaw Safety Inspection' on 153 Local Road Facilities

Gyeonggi Construction Headquarters Conducts 'Spring Thaw Safety Inspection' on 153 Local Road Facilities Gyeonggi Provincial Government Gwanggyo New Office Building

The Gyeonggi-do Construction Headquarters will conduct safety inspections on 153 local road facilities, including self-ordered road and building construction projects and steep slopes, until the 31st of this month in preparation for the thawing season.

The Construction Headquarters formed an inspection team consisting of public officials, responsible construction project management technicians, and private experts for joint inspections.

The Construction Headquarters will focus on whether safety management plans have been prepared at construction sites of vulnerable facilities such as steep slopes and cut slopes, where there is a high risk of safety accidents such as cracks, overturning, and collapse due to ground weakening during the thawing season, as well as on the occurrence of cracks and deformation in structures.

Any issues that can be corrected on-site based on the inspection results will be immediately addressed, and rapid repairs and reinforcements will be carried out if risk factors are found.

Kim Gyo-heung, head of the Construction Headquarters, stated, "We will do our best to prevent safety accidents by conducting more thorough patrols and inspections of vulnerable facilities with high safety risks during the thawing season to preemptively block risk factors."
