Gyeonggi-do Conducts 'Safety Inspections' at 60 Campsites During Thawing Season Gyeonggi Provincial Government Gwanggyo New Office Building

Gyeonggi Province will conduct safety inspections of 60 campsites across the province from the 13th of this month to May 12th in preparation for the holiday season.

Camping businesses are tourism enterprises that provide camping facilities and conveniences suitable for camping, and must obtain registration approval from the local mayor or county governor to operate.

During the inspection period, the province will check ▲whether campsites are registered according to relevant regulations ▲the preparation, management, and preservation of registration records ▲compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

The province plans to share various cases resulting from the safety inspections with cities, counties, and related organizations to prevent similar incidents from recurring.

Yeon Je-chan, Director of the Safety Management Office of the province, stated, "Through this campsite safety inspection, we will strive to lead a 'safe and wise camping culture' in Gyeonggi Province in response to the increase in campsite users during the spring holiday season."
